Giving Ecuador’s children a better future

Passina feels responsible for the people living and working in fruit producing countries. With having dedicated plants in Guayaquil and Quevedo, we feel strongly committed to Ecuador, our employees and their families.

In particular, we want to help to give the children a better future and that is why in 2009, instead of sending out our traditional gift pack, it was decided to give the full monetary value of the Passina gift packs to the following children's charities:

Fe y Alegria
As a "movement for popular education and social promotion" Fe y Alegr'a helps children from socially disadvantaged families. The organization operates several schools and supports educational projects outside formal institutions by voluntary action.

In Ecuador, Fe y Alegria looks back on 45 years of lived solidarity.

Fascinarm
Fascinarm's concern is mentally disabled children. Through pedagogic, educational and vocational assistance Fascinarm helps lowering the barriers for the handicapped and facilitate their integration into society.

Based in Guayaquil, Ecuador, the organization was founded in 1966 as an educational psychology centre. Today, about 80 instructors, technicians and administrative officers as well as 35 volunteers look after hundreds of disabled and their families.
