Fairtrade Standards for Trade

Certified Fairtrade is a product certification system where social, economic and environmental aspects of production are certified against Fairtrade Standards for Producers and buying and selling is certified against Fairtrade Standards for Trade.

Buying and selling of products are monitored until they are consumer packaged and labelled. Certificates are only issued after a physical inspection has confirmed that all relevant Fairtrade Standards are complied with. We supervise the continued compliance with Fairtrade Standards through a series of Surveillance activities.
